Personal Biography

I am Shahd Zanaty, a psychologist holding a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The American University in Cairo (AUC).

I have completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, substance use, and personality disorders, in addition to training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care. I have experience working in psychiatric hospital settings and I am currently working with inpatients in a psychiatric hospital.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based, with a focus on helping clients feel genuinely understood while developing practical tools for emotional regulation, insight, and resilience. I work to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their patterns, and their emotional experiences, empowering them to move toward their personal goals with greater clarity and confidence. I provide individual therapy for adult clients (18+), supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, OCD, major life transitions, grief, self-esteem difficulties, building healthy relationships, and family and interpersonal issues. I offer sessions in Arabic and English.
