Personal Biography
Indjy Defrawi is a specialized Child, Adolescent and Parenting Psychologist and a Certified Educator. She studied Developmental Psychology in the American University of Cairo (AUC), then went on to earn her Master Degree in Education & Child Development as well as her Certification in Education & Curriculum from the College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in the USA.
Indjy Defrawi is well experienced and trained in childhood trauma, childhood disorders, phobia treatment, anxiety disorders, emotional regulation, boundary setting, confidence boosting, personality disorders, bullying, cyber-bullying, domestics and sexual abuse, grief & loss, relationship dysfunction, self harm, depression, family dysfunction, conflict resolution, parenting training, behavioral training, parenting therapy and more.
She follows and applies Psycho-analysis, self reflection and behavioral therapy techniques, alongside mindfulness and relaxation modalities and cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT).
Finally, Indjy believes that the three pillars of health ( mental/emotional/ physical) work hand in hand thus she follows a holistic person-centered approach to therapy to heal conflicts with self and others and help build healthier families and relationships.
